Mills Township is located in the northeast corner of Midland County, approximately six miles north of the City of Midland. It is bounded on the north by Gladwin County, on the west by Hope Township, and on the east by Bay County. According to the 2000 Census, the Township is a rural community with the population of 1,871.

Solid Waste Pick up is every Friday morning. Please have refuge out at the road by 7:00 am. No tires or hazardous waste. One large appliance per week.
Recycling is picked up every 2nd and 4th week of the month. Please bag, box or bundle items and place at the end or your driveway by 7:00 am on Friday morning.
